International Relations Office – Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH)

Effective communication is essential for delivering quality healthcare, and language plays a critical role in ensuring access to comprehensive medical services. At Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH), we understand the growing linguistic diversity among patients and have established a dedicated International Relations Office to address these needs.

The International Relations Office supports patients from across Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly those with limited English proficiency. This includes francophone patients and individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring that our services remain inclusive and accessible to all. Our language support services include in-person interpretation during routine medical briefings, sign language assistance for patients with hearing disabilities, and on-demand translation of written materials.

Beyond language services, the International Relations Office offers a range of additional support to international patients. These include visa arrangements for medical purposes, airport pickup coordination, and accommodation services within the hospital for both short and long stays. The office evaluates and addresses each patient’s specific language and logistical needs to ensure a seamless and supportive healthcare journey.

At KUTRRH, we believe that improving communication leads to better healthcare outcomes. For assistance, international clients can reach us by phone at +254 111 138106 or via email at imagingcentre@kutrrh.go.ke.
